Meet Jessica Jaynes

Alumna Jessica Jaynes returned to her alma mater last fall as an assistant professor of mathematics. She holds a doctorate and master’s degree in statistics from UCLA and taught at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Solving a Mathematical Mystery

Junior Isabel Serrano and her research mentor, Dr. Bogdan Suceavă, may have solved a mathematical mystery. Their findings were published in Notices, the peer-reviewed journal of the AMS.

Project MISS: 25 Summers of Student Success

Every summer since 1990, founder and mentor David L. Pagni has been leading Project MISS, a four-week summer program that has helped more than 1,500 high school girls from underrepresented ethnic groups improve their math skills.
