Assistant Professor of Mathematics
I became a college professor because I am extremely curious. I really enjoy learning and sharing what I have learned. Sometimes we learn something that has been learned before and share it. We call that teaching. Sometimes we learn something that has not been learned before and share it. We call that research. It is a wonderful thing that I can get paid to do both of these things.
My own teachers have had a positive impact in my life. I would like to do the same for my students.
Mathematics has much aesthetic and functional beauty. I am an applied mathematician because I like to solve problems that have some of both.
