Dr. Alpargu’s recent research interests include DNA sequence analysis and motif findings in upstream regions of genes. She also works on genetic linkage analysis using SNPs with missing data for complex traits. She studies efficient estimators and valid testing procedures with autocorrelated data in time and space. She enjoys writing computer programs in PERL (for Bioinformatics) and SAS (for general linear models). She likes to solve problems related to matrix theory and general linear models.
