Dr. Annin is an algebraist. He wrote his doctoral dissertation in noncommutative ring theory, but he has also done research in finite group theory and semigroup theory. He is interested in working with students in the areas of linear algebra and abstract algebra, including probabilistic group theory, an area of prior research. Dr. Annin is also a passionate instructor who has received numerous teaching awards. He has taught courses in calculus, discrete mathematics, number theory, abstract and linear algebra, real analysis, and topology. He is a co-author with Stephen Goode (CSUF math dept) on the third edition of the Math 250B text: "Differential Equations and Linear Algebra".
