Exams:

  1. Exam 1 covering Chapter 1 and 2 date: Feb. 23
  2. Exam 2 covering Chapters 3, 4 and 5 date: March 23
  3. Exam 3 covering Chapter 6, 7 and 8 date: April 27
  4. Exam 4 covering Chapter 9 and 11 date: May 18
  5. Final Exam date: Tuesday, May 25 from 2:30 - 4:30 pm

Final Exam: A Common Departmental Final Exam will be given for all Math 250B sections. It will be comprehensive and cover Chapters 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,11 and it is scheduled for May 25 from 2:30 to 4:20 pm. The location will be announced by the Math. Dept.

Prerequisites: A large portion of material from Math 150A, 150B, 250A will be used throughout this course. Please review this perquisite material as it is necessary.

Late Work: No make-up exams are given. However, special considerations will be given if you have a verifiable emergency.

Reading: You are to read ahead in the textbook each day and be familiar with the new vocabulary and new material before the lecture is given.

Course Homework:

  1. Chapters 1 and 2
  2. Chapters 3, 4 and 5
  3. Chapters 6, 7 and 8
  4. Chapters 9 and 11

Honesty: All work presented for evaluation for a grade must be your own.

Attendance: For consideration of your classmates and instructor, it is important that you arrive to class on time!

Tutors: The Mathematics Department runs a tutoring center in MH-187.

Homework: Homework is to be done daily. Be prepared to discuss homework at the start of each class.

Points:

  1. 4 Hour Exams x 150 pts for 600 points
  2. 10 Quizzes x 10pts for 100 points
  3. Final Exam counts 300 points

Marks: A: 1000-900 points B: 899-800 points C: 799-650 points D: 649-450 points
