Exam 1: Covering Chapters, 1-5, March 17
Exam 2: Covering Chapters, 6-7, April 21.
Final Exam: Comprehensive and covers Chapters 1-9, May 30.
Closed book examinations: All exams and the final exam are
"closed book."
Prerequisites: A large portion of material from Math 250B will be used throughout this course. Please refer to your Math 250B text to fill in ideas regarding this perquisite material as it is necessary.
Late Work: No make-up exams or quizzes are given. (No
"early" ones either.)
Reading: You are to read ahead in the textbook each day and be
familiar with the new vocabulary and new material before the lecture
is given.
Homework: For each topic, try to do as many problems as you
can, to improve your knowledge and understanding. Do at least the
ones assigned on the syllabus. Homework will be collected at the
start of each hour exam. Assignments:
Collaboration: Find at least one classmate with whom you
can study. A support group is important.
Attendance: Your presence matters. Arrive to class on
time!
