### Bio

Dr. Agnew is a mathematical physicist working on problems involving, and at the interface of, General Relativity Theory and Quantum Field Theory. He is a member of the NSM Gravitational Wave Physics and Astronomy Center (GWPAC). Particular interests include mathematical issues in gravitational wave physics and Twistor Theory. He also has published in the fields of Analysis, Differential Geometry, Cosmology, and the History of Mathematics. Dr. Agnew enjoys teaching courses, especially in pure and classical applied mathematics, and physics. He has supervised numerous extracurricular and research projects for both mathematics and physics undergraduate and graduate students. He holds undergraduate degrees in both mathematics and physics from CSUF, as well as a masters and doctorate in mathematics, and a Ph.D. minor in physics, all from Oregon State University. Upon graduation in 1999, Dr. Agnew spent 2 years at Southern Methodist University as a visiting Associate Professor, before joining the CSUF faculty in 2001.
