This semester, I have a couple of students who work at Disneyland! One of them, Farid, captain of the Jungle Cruise, was able to get my friends Misael, David, and myself into Disneyland and California Adventure for free on this Saturday! We had a blast!
Thanks Farid!
Here we are: David, Misael, and myself in front of the Matterhorn
Mountain.

Here I am with the Jungle Cruise master himself: Farid did a great job
getting us safely through the jungle as our skipper. Thanks again, Farid,
for letting us enjoy the park with you! It was so much fun!

Farid is pointing out the interesting sites on our cruise through the
jungle. SUPER funny! A good time was had by all!

One of my favorite rides in the park is Pirates of the Caribbean.
Here David and I stop for a photo while waiting in line to travel the waters of
pirates and treasures.

Dumbo the flying elephant flies in front of the Matterhorn!

This is the 50th anniversary of Disney! This pretty display greets
visitors at the entrance. We enjoyed ourselves greatly, and enjoyed an
extra treat: the 50th anniversary fireworks display that night blew me away (hehe....pun)!

David and Misael prepare for the ride up Big Thunder Mountain in
Frontierland. This mini-roller-coaster in the dark has always been a
thriller!

During the afternoon, we took a trip over to California Adventureland,
where I discovered my favorite ride! Grizzly River Run was SOOOOOO much
fun! I love these raft rides, but managed to escape without getting too
wet this time. This was a good thing, because it got quite cold later on
that evening in the park!

A look at the scary roller coasters in California Adventureland. I
took a pass on these big things!

On our way back to Disneyland for the fireworks celebration, we stopped
to take in some of the Electrical Parade, with it's flashy lights and upbeat
music.
