Hello! Here you'll find information on my teaching and research at California State University, Fullerton.

I teach a variety of courses, most recently, Studies in Discrete Mathematics (Math 586), Strategies of Proof (Math 280), and Fundamental Concepts of Elementary Mathematics (Math 303A/B). Information on current and past courses can be found on the Teaching page. Current homework for Math 586 can be found here.

My research focuses on undergraduate students' understanding of mathematics, particularly on their understanding of proof. I am also interested in the transition of students from entry-level college mathematics to proof based mathematics courses and the role of courses designed to facilitate that transition. Current work can be found on the Research page.

I have also collected some resources to help students begin using LaTeX, a typesetting language designed for mathematics. LaTeX produces beautiful documents, and I now use it for almost all of my word processing, mathematical or not. I encourage all students, especially those who plan to teach, to learn to use LaTeX. On the LaTeX Resources page, I have collected some files to help you to get started.
